Super quick birdie with scribbly freehand markers
Aug 12, 2024I’m loving the fast and playful energy of scribbling with markers in my art journal at the moment.
This feels like an energetic release and playful freeing exercise. Its way of working that is quick and high energy.
Sometimes when we are too serious with our art-making we can take away from the simple joy found in the energy in the materials themselves.
Take markers as an example, you can create dense areas of colour with markers, a bit like you would when we used to do colouring in pages as kids. Or you can lighten your grip and use fluid strokes and layers. Delicate yet bold.
A reminder that there is more than one way of approaching things and when you open yourself up to this idea and lean into play and exploration your creations may surprise you…
