Inner connection and freedom is found is play
Aug 05, 2024When was the last time you played? I stuck with the markers this week and continued to draw intuitive florals. I played with tones and marks and finished off with black pens to make the flowers really stand out.
Playing with unfamiliar or rarely used materials like this offers a fresh start and an opportunity to be vulnerable and make things up as you go along.
Drawing on your intuitive instincts and applying a playful, carefree attitude free of attachment to the outcome. When we play like this, we are giving ourselves permission to take risks and embrace imperfection, allowing a personal freedom and innocent exploration to seep through to the surface.
In this way, art-making is a powerful tool for facilitating this personal inner connection and cultivating self-trust and self-belief.
