When people hear that I’m an artist, they usually picture me barefoot in my studio, brush in hand, surrounded by paint-splattered walls and a half-drunk herbal tea somewhere within reach OR the opposite end a tranquil white space filled with colourful art and neatly organised shelves and art trolleys. And the truth - my studio space can certainly be a version of both of these scenes - my creative life is about so much more than making art.

Welcome to this little behind-the-scenes glimpse into my world. Spoiler alert: it’s a mix of paint, rituals, soul whispers, and a whole lot of permission to be human.

Creativity as a Way of Living

For me, creativity isn’t just what I do. It’s how I live. It’s the way I make my morning coffee with intention. It’s the way I parent, the way I problem-solve, and how I check in with myself when life feels a bit… crunchy. Soul-led creative living means tuning in—every day, sometimes every hour—to what feels aligned, meaningful, and true.

Some days, that looks like lighting a candle and painting from a place of deep emotion. Other days, it’s clearing out a cupboard or sitting on the floor doing a wild art therapy session with my daughter while the dog tries to eat the paintbrushes. It’s not glamorous, but it’s real, and for me, that’s sacred.

I try to create flexible rituals around things that are important to me - such as evening bath time - which feels like an essential nourishiment for the soul before bed or creatively - carving out small chunks of time to embody my unique blend of spiritual and creative inner connection time, this has to be planned and intentional or it's easy to skip, and it's REALLY important.

My Studio is My Sanctuary (But Also a Bit Chaotic)

My studio is full of contradictions. It’s peaceful and messy. Intentional and spontaneous. There are days it holds my tears, and others where it catches my laughter and full-body dance breaks. Amongst the latest finished pieces quietly drying and curing, there’s always something on the go—unfinished pieces, brand new panels, scraps of sandpaper, dried up paintbrushes, paint splatters, new side projects waiting, waiting and plenty of evidence of too many ideas and not enough time...

But more than a workspace, my studio is a space for remembering who I am. It’s where I can strip back the noise of the world and have honest conversations with my soul and meet myself where I am today, so that I can dream about tomorrow.

The Work Behind the Work

My actual “work” as a creative mentor and coach flows straight out of my own lived experience. Every offering I create—whether it’s a painting, a podcast episode, a powerful quote, poem or a 1:1 session—comes from something I’ve had to walk through myself.

The burnout. The self-doubt. The big questions about purpose and permission and how to fit creativity into a life already full of responsibilities. I get it—and I’ve built my work around gently guiding others back to their own inner fire.

So yes, I paint. But I also hold space. I listen. I write. I coach. I create rituals. I curate experiences that invite women to reconnect with themselves in wildly honest and nourishing ways.

The Bigger Picture

Soul-led creative living, to me, is about choosing to live awake. It’s a dance between inspiration and integration. It’s slowing down long enough to hear your inner guidance and being brave enough to follow it—even when it makes no logical sense.

It’s about giving yourself permission to show up messy and magic, all at once. To make things that feel meaningful. To build a life that isn’t about performance or perfection, but presence.

So if you’re curious about the behind-the-scenes of this kind of life—it’s equal parts ordinary and enchanted. It’s laundry and paintbrushes. It’s soul chats and spreadsheets. And it’s one big, evolving love letter to the power of showing up, again and again, as your whole self.

Thanks for being here for the ride 💛

Take care,
